LA AURORA CIGARS

It was founded in 1903 as a modest cigar factory that managed to overcome the crisis of the time when the country was beginning to industrialize. Its founder was Eduardo Leon Jimenez, who made the company a reference point for the tobacco industry.

Eduardo Leon Jimenez at the age of 18 founded the La Aurora cigar factory in Don Pedro, community of Guazumal, in the province of Santiago de Los Caballeros, with a small investment. He started with the dream of creating a world-famous brand of handmade cigars. These first cigars were in "Perfecto" format, the double figure that is still produced today in a very limited way, only 100 units per day per craftsman. Aurora is the seed of the largest business group in the Dominican Republic, the E. Leon Jimenes group.

Aurora began to stand out from most of the cigar factories that were still operating in the city in those years. The workload increased due to the high quality of cigars, which caused an increased demand for them.

With a 113-year history, Aurora is a modern cigar factory with more than 1,100 workers, producing more than a billion cigars a year and present in 67 markets around the world today.

It is known for its exquisite citrus, woody, pepper sauce and leather flavors.

Its intense taste and aroma are unforgettable, for example Cameroon Robusto, Aniversario 115 Robusto and Belicoso.
